This glass is from Japan. It has been sitting in the glass cabinet for the past 10 years with the others. This glass has traveled with me to places, and I have been using this for a long time since I was very small. The object has a rough texture and it is partially transparent. Although this is something I use everyday without thinking about it, it is something that has been part of my life for a long time.
Waiting For The Owner
Warm Shadows
These glasses are the very first pair that I have ever owned. I was in second grade when I first got them. I have been wearing glasses ever since. The glasses I use now are different ones. This pair of glasses are not in use anymore. The picture on the left shows how this pair doesn't have an owner, and waiting to be used.
Soup Spoon
Reflection
One of the everyday utensils we have are spoons. This spoon is a soup spoon that I use pretty much every time I have soup. The reflection on the wooden table adds another excitement to the photo. The table is also a important factor into photo, because of its dark colors. The dark wooden color gives off a calm and deep vibes.
Lipstick
Sophisticated Lipstick
I bought this lipstick when I was in Korea with my family. (I am half Korean) . In Japan, where I used to live, the girls wore makeup to school. The pink/red tints were very popular when I was there, but these matted red lipsticks were very pretty as well. I was surprised when I came to America ands that not many people wore bright red lipstick like they do in Japan.
Doll
Gold Strings
This doll is a traditional Japanese doll which Japanese families have for the day of celebration for girls. On March 3rd, Japanese families with a daughter will put these dolls up to celebrate their birth and wish for the future. It said in Japan that if the family does not put these up on that day, the daughter would not be able to get married. This doll has been in my family since I was born, celebrating that day every year. The doll is passed onto the next generation if there is a newborn girl.
