This is an acorn that I found near the parking lot. I chose to take this picture because I thought its beautiful how the acorn fell off the tree and sat there naturally with the sunlight shining on it. The leafs under and around the acorn gives a more natural feel to the photograph, and it looks very nice. I wanted to portray the small beauty in this big world. Even in the smallest of nature, there is beauty in every little piece of it.
Light From The Tree
Pine Tree
This is a very big pine tree I found near my house. The view looked very cool from under the tree with the sunlight peeking through the arms of the tree. Wanted to put the sunlight in the photograph as well. We usually see trees from afar and do not look at the view from under them. I wanted to express the unusual view of looking sunlight through the tree in this photograph.
Reaching The Skies
Bunches
These are the trees I saw while walking on a trail in Gallop Park. These trees were taller than all of the trees we see everyday, near houses and schools. The woods created a unique atmosphere. I wanted to take a photograph of the trees reaching high to the sky. It shows that no matter how tall these trees are, they cannot reach the sky, making me feel that space in infinite.
Moss Mountain
Sparkles
This moss was growing on a cut down tree in the trail of Gallop Park. The moss itself was so small, I had many difficulties taking the photo up close. I was able to capture the light that shines on the moss perfectly the way I wanted to. Even though the moss is too small to recognize while walking on the trail, up close, it looks like a mountain. I was fascinated by the way small things can be seen in a whole different way depending on the angle and the size.
Riverbed
Feeling Of Fall
These are photographs of the river flowing in the Gallop Park. I had difficulties shooting these photograph because there weren't many varieties of angles to shoot from. There were buildings and wires on the other side. It was a challenge to take the photos by hiding the manmade things at the same time. Even though it is spring, I found it strange how the photographs make it look like it was taken in the fall.
